One thing I love about Neural DSP and the Quad Cortex is that they keep on adding better things to it all the time.
It was only recently that the CosOs 2 came out with some great new amps, drives, IR loaders, Hybrid View and more. You can see the highlights for me here:
Now Neural have just announced that CorOs 2.1.0 is coming soon and will be displayed at NAMM this year, which actually starts today, April 13.

Here's their official statement:
"...
We are pleased to say that we will be showing a beta of Cortex Control at the NAMM show. If you are attending, come and visit us at booth 5036.
In order to support Cortex Control, the QCs at our booth are running a beta of CorOS 2.1.0, which includes several other features and changes. This is not the complete list of features and changes that will be available in CorOS 2.1.0, just the ones that are available in this beta version.
All of these features are subject to change and may function or appear differently when CorOS 2.1.0 is released.

Highlights
The main highlight here really is the fact that they are close to releasing the Cortex Control, which is the computer editor for the Quad Cortex. Some people have been asking for this for a long time, so they will be really happy.
We'll have to wait to see how good it really is, but given the quality of the UI for Neural's Plugins, I'm expecting great things. However, your excitement over this is likely to be based on whether you use the QC on a pedal board or have it on the table next to you when using it.
For me, I have my QC mounted on a board with a couple of other pedals that I love, so being able to tweak sounds without having to either bend over a lot or have my board balanced next to me will be awesome.
Apart from this, the stereo cab models are a great addition, as are the EQ sections for the cabsim devices. Although this should have been included from the start imo.
Finally, being able to change the colour of scenes in Gigview is also a welcome addition.
Final Thoughts
Personally, I'm excited by these new developments. Some new amp devices? Yes please! Quality of Life improvements? Awesome! A new computer editor? OOoohhh YEAH!
I'm hoping for a few more things to be added to the list when 2.1.0 is finally released, but this is already looking good.
And if you are going to NAMM and you get the chance to visit the booth, let us know what you think!
